Part-Time Evening Janitor / Facilities Assistant

Position Summary:
Trinity Evangelical Church is seeking a dependable, part-time Evening Janitor /
Facilities Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
for ministry activities. This role supports evening operations and ensures the
building is properly set up, maintained, and secured.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday 4:30 PM – 8:30 PM (20 hrs. per week)
- Additional hours as needed for special events
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure spaces are ready for scheduled meetings and activities
- Set up and tear down tables, chairs, and rooms as needed
- Remove trash and maintain cleanliness throughout the building
- Vacuum and perform custodial duties including restroom cleaning
- Monitor building use during evening hours
- Ensure lights are turned off and the building is properly secured and locked at the end of the night
- Assist with facility needs for special events as requested
Qualifications:
- Reliable and punctual with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically able to lift, move tables/chairs, remove trash, and operate a vacuum
- Flexible and willing to assist with occasional additional hours for events
- Willingness to support the mission and ministries of the church
Spiritual Expectations:
- Must be willing and able to sign and uphold the church’s Ministry Covenant
